The Lee Kuan Yew Award for Mathematics and Science was first presented in 1992. It is an annual award to recognise and promote passion and academic excellence in Mathematics and Science. This year, 49 students received the Lee Kuan Yew Award for Mathematics and Science – 17 from the secondary school section, 12 from the pre-university section, and 20 from the polytechnic section.
